I have extensive experience in teaching, both in person and online. I was an instrumental teacher at various schools in Adelaide and taught privately while undertaking my studies in Switzerland. I have also provided incursions to kindergartens, concerts that serve as introductions to music for very small children, and am an experienced ensemble tutor and conductor.
My focus during lessons is made up of two simple parts - developing instrumental/musical skills, and fostering joy of music and learning. I do this from the beginning by guiding a student through the foundations of good violin technique and note-reading while incorporating games and pieces that make learning fun and a good experience. For more advanced students, I can offer detailed musical and technical advice, preparing them for auditions, exams, & competitions while fostering their love of music and growth as an artist.
My instrumental teachers during my studies were some of the most important and meaningful figures in my life - music has the potential to change lives! It's my aim and goal to be one of these figures for the students I teach.
